Last week, I had the privilege of speaking at Northern Kentucky University's Ninth Annual Cybersecurity Symposium on the topic of biometric identification and related data governance issues. Each year, the Symposium attracts thought leaders from information technology, legal, healthcare, and academics to discuss nascent legal issues involving information governance and security. During the Symposium, attendees learned about the current landscape of data breach litigation, emerging targets for hackers and identity thieves, and the importance of including risks to emerging technology in existing data governance plans.
